Hello Todd,
I have found your website a very interesting place. What led me here is that my farrier is retiring and I will need a replacement (which really puts the stress on!) I am wondering if you do work in the Green Bay area? Specifically dressage horses/jumper? My horse wears corrective shoes, I also wonder if perhaps its too much. Everyone varies, but I'm always open to suggestions. My horse will let me know what HE thinks! We have 12 horses and 1 kind mini donkey that helps with the companionship stuff that comes up. Let me know if you would be interested in talking. I will say we are a kind bunch that always pays the farrier and the barn is very nice too.

Hi Kristie,
No fun finding a new farrier is it? Unfortunately, I don't get down to the Green Bay area.

It shouldn't be that hard to find a decent farrier in that area should it? On the other hand it very well may be.

Regrettably, it's going to be hard this time of year for me to even help you out until you can find someone closer and permanent. I don't have that much travel time to spare this time of year.

So I'd better not. Good luck though and thanks for stopping by.

Hi Todd,
It's me Connie, we met(again) the other day when I asked you from my car if you had a business card. Anyhow, you seemed pretty excited about your website so I thought I better check it out.
It's nice learning a little about a person on the personal level and the areas of work you are trained in. I was most excited when I saw the "equine dentistry" tab but then saddened to hear how the laws have changed. I was hopeful to make use of you!
Anyhow, I will keep checking back periodically for updates.
Nice work!

Hi Connie,
Glad you were able to stop by.

It is unfortunate that the vet community decided to monopolize the service without first providing the trained practitioners to meet industry standards. However, the horse community is slowly waking up to that realization and it's only a matter of time before the laws will be reworked. But the wheels of justice turn very slowly.

I know some very good certified equine dental practitioners who get around and come through here periodically. I'll try and track down some contact info and get it posted by later this fall.

Here's the name and number of a very good equine dental technician from central WI that gets up here quite often. Renea Oplinker, cell phone #920-427-7814.
